Duane Allman’s Final Performance To Be Released

Pre-order is now available for two archival Allman Brothers Band releases.

On October, 16 2020, The Allman Brothers Band will release two archive recordings.

The Final Note, is a recording of the October 17, 1971 Allman Brothers Band concert at Painters Mill Music Fair in Owings Mill, MD.  This was the last show that Duane Allman played with the band as he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident 12 days later in Macon, GA.  The recording was made by radio journalist Sam Idas with, of all things, a hand-held cassette machine he has used to record an earlier interview.  With a little modern technology, this significant night will give fans one more moment with the iconic founding member of the band.

The second release is a favorite show of the band’s from 2005.  July 19, 2005 at the Warner Theater in Erie, PA.  Band manager Bert Holman remembers, “They all told me that they needed a copy of the show, which says a lot right there.”  The 2005 lineup was together from 2001-2014 including Gregg on vocals and keyboards, Jaimoe and Butch Trucks on drums, Oteil Burbridge on bass, percussionist Marc Quinones and guitarists Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes.

Great new ABB merchandise is also available with the recordings through the pre-order.  Get yours today!
